SYNOPSIS: A modern-day bounty hunter, once a cop, comes to town looking for a cop killer. The arrest is quickly made. While at the police station, the bounty hunter runs into an old buddy – a detective he worked with back in his policeman days.

The next morning he’s leaving town when two men approach him in the lobby of his hotel. They want to take him to their boss, a local rancher who wants to hire the bounty hunter to find an employee - a kid that’s like a son to him. The money is good, so he takes the job and begins a twisting path of intrigue. At the start, he meets a beautiful girl who is a cousin to the kid. They team up.

While this takes place, the cop killer gets released on bail by mistake. The detective wants to warn our man. The cop killer vows revenge. Two other men show up that work for an import/export tycoon as well. It’s the kid’s real dad. He wants to know who this stranger is asking about his son.

All these factions swirl and dance throughout the story, clashing many times before culminating at the rancher’s sprawling ranch house. Here the truth is found out, revealing everything involved is somehow connected to a secret smuggling ring lead by an old nemesis - the Police Commissioner from his days of being a cop. His policies were responsible for the bounty hunter’s partner getting killed, which caused him to quit the force. The Commissioner is escorted by a weird little fellow referred to as The Acid Man. Called that for a good reason and a personal body guard to the Commissioner, he uses acid as his instrument of death.

The action clips along like pinball. The elements combine and fuse to create a mystery within the action – a mystery that doesn’t unravel until the last page, and everyone gets their due.
